thoughts

These past few years have been a lot, haven’t they? I have found myself struggling to come up with the words to meet the moment we are living in. I have struggled to find the clarity to extend myself further outward. I have been recovering from physical illness and doing my best to care for my community, but it feels like we are at a pivotal crossroads as we watch the climate crisis causing devastation around the world, as wars unfold and the pain of our inhumanity to one another is laid bare. I am feeling the pull to be of greater service, to add my voice and my creativity to the project of creating a livable future for all beings.

Here are my commitments to 2024:
*Envision and create the world you want to live in.
*Engage in creative actions every day.
*Share knowledge and resources with others.
*Be soft. Be genuine. Be open-hearted.
*Build nourishment into each day’s activities.

We cannot be of service if we ourselves are not resourced. It’s a time for deep healing, and acting urgently from a place of love. What do you most care about? Find ways to engage in healing action so that your heart is nourished while you fight for what you love. I believe that we can make great change if we engage our minds and hearts. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with the enormity of what is wrong. Remind yourself of what is good in your life, in your community, in the world. Find a place where you can make a difference. Be compassionate with yourself and others. Laugh often. Sing your love out loud. The Earth needs to hear all of our songs.
